Amazing Golf in Hua Hin
Public holidays and religious celebrations
Events, holidays and celebrations you can experience on your holiday in Hua Hin.. If you have been to Thailand more than once, then you know for sure that if there is one thing that the Thais love, it is to gather with family, friends and maybe even holiday acquaintances to have fun and party! Participating in the various celebrations (religious or not) can be a completely unique opportunity to get to know the country's culture and population better..so why not jump into it and get an extra holiday experience home to Denmark :-) Seen over the year, there are many opportunities for Thais to party and celebrate. In addition to celebrating the traditional Buddhist holidays, the Thais also like to take part in the more Western anniversaries and thus the Thais want to celebrate both Christmas, New Year and Valentines Day together with the many tourists who visit the country every year. On this page we have made an overview of the events and celebrations you as a tourist in Thailand can be lucky enough to participate in during your holiday. Since some of the religious Buddhist celebrations do not follow the "normal" calendar as we know it in Denmark, you must be aware that the individual celebration or festival may well be on different dates, depending on which year you are in Thailand. As a rule, however, you can be sure that the individual event will be within the same 14 days to three weeks no matter what year you visit Thailand…

About Black Mountain..
We list Black Mountain Golf Course as no. 1 on this page because this really is one of the absolutely best and most stunning golf courses in the whole country of Thailand.

Black Mountain is an absolutely fantastic golf course located on the outskirts of Hua Hin, approximately 10 min. drive from city centre.
The course was opened in April 2007 and the construction of the Black Mountain course has amazed visitors with its quality and speed for how quickly the construction was completed.
In just 18 months, the project was conceived, planned and executed and the course has received fantastic reviews ever since. In fact, Black Mountain has been named Thailand's best golf course several times and in 2017 even named the best golf resort in Asia by the golf magazine Golf Digest. Black Mountain has also been named as one of the world's 100 best golf courses outside the United States, also by Golf Digest.

The Hua Hin area has in recent years become a real golf paradise with its temperate climate and the large number of golf courses. At the same time, Black Mountain Golf Club has become one of the major attractions in Hua Hin, and has paved the way for several major golf tournaments, among others the Asian Tour.

In 2016, an additional 9 holes (West Course) were added to the Black Mountains' already stunning 18-hole course facilities. Thus, it is now possible to play golf on 27 holes.

In early 2012, Hua Hin's first and only water park called Hua Hin Water Park opened. The water park is located near by the golf course, and is part of the Black Mountain resort, but like the golf course, the water park is open publicly open to all visitors.

Try Black Mountain if you want to play on one of Thailand's very best golf courses!

About Seapine..
The Seapine golf course is located approximately 5 km from Hua Hin city centre, and more specifically in the area of Takiab Beach south of Hua Hin. It is in this area that many europeans, who have visited Hua Hin several times, choose as a base for their holiday. As the area is somewhat quieter than in the center of the city many people prefer to stay in Khao Takiab.

The Seapine Golf Course itself is built on ancient military territory and it is actually also the Thai military that stands as owners of the place. Several of the course's 18 holes are located right next to the lovely beach, and at approximately half of the holes there is somehow water in play. Seapine opened as late as 2010 and is therefore Hua Hin's newest golf course. This also means that the course is not very overgrown either in rough or in terms of trees. Of course, there are in several places beautiful palm trees that might be challenging your play..

Location: 10 min. (8 km) South of Hua Hin city centre.

Royal Hua Hin Golf Club
About Royal Hua Hin Golf Course..
Royal Hua Hin lies less than 1 km from Hua Hin city center and is the oldest golf course in Thailand. The course was built back in the 1920s, during the reign of King Rama VII, and opened in 1924.

Royal Hua Hin was designed by Scottish Railway engineer O.A. Robins, and can best be described as a golf course in “classic British design”.
For those who are used to playing on golf courses in Asia, the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course may not be the most impressive course, in terms of design, but playing on Thailand's oldest course is hardly something to miss?
